SDS was founded by Pooja Velhal who is an Architect with 10+ years of experience in the field. Pooja initially laid hands on both Architecture and Interior design projects to gain deep understanding, technical and practical knowledge of both, while working in different studios in different cities. She also started managing complete projects from conceptualization to design finalization, working on project estimates, negotiating with vendors, visiting the sites during execution, solving issues that crop up during execution and guide the team till completion and handover.
Later she also got exposed to Sales in the Design company she worked, where she got the opportunity to interact with a lot of clients and got a knack of understanding what the client wants, understanding their ideas about their space and connect with them.
But her role in Sales was not completely satisfying as it appeared more superficial to her. She felt that she was not able to focus and experiment more on design and was not making her happy. This was when her love for design and the joy of transforming people’s dreams into realities made her take the decision to leave her job and set up her own design studio where she could create & experiment new ideas and could derive happiness from taking up each project as a challenge and constantly striving to sculpting spaces that would touch the hearts of people and create beautiful memories for them.
